180,000ft² Distribution Centre and Offices

Adjacent to the M48 and junction slip road, major earthworks and civil engineering works were carried out to enable the construction of 3 industrial and distribution buildings.

As part of this scheme a 180,000ft² warehouse facility was constructed comprising haunch heights of 12m, and internal office space with an undercroft for expansion totalling 20,000ft².

This speculative building utilised modern methods of construction and sustainable materials, including Pre-cast lift shafts, rainwater harvesting and increased roof lights.

Within the overall development over 250,000m3 of earth was moved, adoptable roads and sewers where constructed, major services diverted and the largest Allen Block wall in Europe was also constructed. This wall was up to 7m in height and spanned over 700m in length.
