Winvic have been contracted by ProLogis Developments to construct a distribution facility for the Co-Op situated between Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The building has over 50 dock leveller doors and is based on a cross docking model. The base build with enhanced works also includes office space split between a 2 storey hub office and a 3 storey main office. This office is accessible to staff via a concrete under-croft, designed to keep foot traffic away from the vehicular routes and provide them with a safe access to and from the car park.

A VMU building is also being provided separately from the main building allowing vehicle maintenance to be carried out onsite. Parts of the perimeter boundary utilise precast concrete retaining walls up to 5m in height, allowing the full site area to be efficiently maximised.

The building has received a BREEAM Excellent rating and an EPC rating of A, and will be another example of Winvic’s commitment to sustainable construction.
