Lionel House Developments and Aberdeen Standard Investments awarded Winvic the contract to develop a new 14-storey, build-to-rent complex located on the edge of Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.

The scheme will comprise 259 high quality managed apartments, broken down into – 156 one-bedroom, 90 two-bedroom and 13 three-bedroom apartments.

Other features of the development include 11,250 sq ft retail space to the ground floor, communal areas for residents including a fitness room and communal kitchen, a 17-space car park and cycle storage for every apartment.

The landscaped rooftop terrace is designed to give residents access to social rooms and an external social space with a 360 degree skyline view of the city centre. Full LED lighting will be used throughout and feature lighting will be used in the ground floor social area.

Externally there will be highway works consisting of minor paving works to re-configure the existing vehicle foot path crossing to the ground floor car park and cycle storage with service zones.

This is the second build-to-rent contract win for Winvic in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
