Winvic Business Development Manager Steve Blackshaw and Moulton College Student Bernard Whitehead
We are currently working with the government Construction Futures programme to provide 300 man weeks of training during the construction phase of our contract to design & build the iCon Innovation Centre in Daventry.
This scheme involves collaboration with Moulton College, Northampton to provide craft apprentices, technical trainees and administration assistants on a rolling 6 week turn around, providing them with valuable work experience. We also have a training programme in place for all existing staff where this year particular emphasis has been placed on quality and environment issues to coincide with our ISO 9001 & 14001 accreditations.
At present we currently have 4 student placements all working within different parts of the business. These placements fall in line with our continued desire to support local communities and Winvic are proud to be associated with Construction Futures, WNDC and Moulton College on this occasion.
At Moulton College's 2010 Award ceremonies, Winvic were pleased to present awards to the students making the most progress in Construction Services and in Carpentry & Joinery.
