Site remediation, infrastructure works and construction of five Net Zero Carbon industrial units at Bardon Hill in Coalville

Contracted by Harworth Estates Ltd to undertake ground improvement and infrastructure works to facilitate this new 332,000 sq ft industrial and logistics development and the construction of five Net Zero Carbon industrial units .

The infrastructure works on the Bardon Hill site consisted of site access S278 works, temporary site access S184 works as well as the construction of on site roads/car parks and associated external works and services.

The five ‘Grade A’ industrial units ranging from 28,000 sq ft to 116,000 sq ft are built to BREEAM ‘Excellent’ standard and EPC rating ‘A’ for manufacturing and distribution uses.

Biodiversity Features / Sustainability:

Bardon Hill, Coalville achieved Net Zero Carbon in construction.

Various construction methods and operations onsite resulted in 98.2% recycling.

The development will protect and enhance local biodiversity and provide amenity space for the local community through the creation of new green spaces, and improve local infrastructure including a 10-acre local wildlife centre and new great crested newt ponds.
