Winvic has been appointed by Patrizia to construct a new residential-led mixed-use development creating 375 build-to-rent apartments alongside improvements to Edgbaston Stadium.

Located at the junction of Edgbaston Road and Pershore Road, the new residential development will comprise:

  • 375 purpose-built apartments
  • Development split over two blocks, highest being 18 storeys
  • Insitu concrete frame
  • Ground floor amenity space
  • Landscaped podium deck with undercroft car parking
  • Rooftop residents amenity area
  • Five ground floor retail / commercial units to include retail, food and beverage uses
  • Back of house facilities
  • Associated landscaping
  • 111 new onsite car parking spaces for use by new residents

Winvic is also undertaking improvements to Edgbaston Stadium for Warwickshire County Cricket Club (WCCC) ahead of the 2022 Commonwealth Games, focussed on the external areas on the western side of the stadium and the interface with the residential development, which includes:

  • New 56,500 sq ft entrance plaza
  • Improving accessibility and circulation through the site
  • Reconfiguration of the existing stadium car parking creating a further 229 car parking spaces for residents
  • Landscaping – almost 3,000 trees and shrubs planted
  • Realignment of an existing road junction and the construction of an access road across the site.

Winvic is also completing the demolition of existing buildings on the site as part of this project.
