Panattoni Engages Winvic in Luton for Two Industrial Warehouses

Posted on April 8, 2019 in Industrial

Winvic Construction Ltd, a leading main contractor specialising in turnkey solutions for industrial, build-to-rent, student accommodation and commercial projects, has once again been appointed by speculative logistics developer, Panattoni. A ground breaking ceremony was held at the project at Panattoni Park Luton – located adjacent to the newly built junction 11A of the M1 – which comprises two logistics/manufacturing warehouses.

The speculative, £80 million development consists of two units. Luton 345 has a haunch height of 15m, and offers 345,000 sq ft of space and an additional 13,500 sq ft of offices over two floors. The second warehouse, Luton 69, is 69,000 sq ft, 13.1m in height and provides 7,700 sq ft of office space. Winvic will also be carrying out the associated civils and infrastructure work, including car and lorry parking, both Luton 69 and Luton 345 will be completed in December.

Winvic’s other current industrial schemes for Panattoni are Plot N at Derby Commercial Park – 370,000 sq ft– and Plot 1, a 522,000 sq ft warehouse at East Midlands Distribution Centre. Winvic has previously completed a civils and infrastructure project at Junction 16 of the M1, Midway Park, Northampton.

Winvic Director, Danny Nelson, commented: “Our relationship with Panattoni has gone from strength to strength, and starting another project together – over a short amount of time – illustrates how hard our whole company works to create robust bonds with clients. We are focused on meeting, and exceeding, expectations and are proud that our values help to position us as a trusted leader in the industrial sector. We are looking forward to handing over these high quality facilities to Panattoni by the end of year.”

James Watson, Development Director of Panattoni UK, said: “Having appointed Winvic on a number of occasions, we are confident their management and construction of this project will be of the highest standards. We are dedicated to providing only the best quality buildings in the best locations and Panattoni Park Luton fulfils these ambitions, in part due to Winvic’s vast experience in constructing first-rate, modern warehouse facilities.”
